Obituary

Linda Conley Moreland was born in Akron, Ohio on November 16, 1948. She passed away on November 29, 2025 in Sun City, FL after a 13 month battle with pancreatic cancer. She is predeceased by her parents Dwain Conley and Sally Conley. She is survived by her spouse Richard (Rick) Moreland, her step children Matthew Moreland, Stephanie Parnell (Landon), her children Mary Hess, Krystal Stalk (Chris), and Michael Moreland; her brothers Michael Conley (Nancy), Greg Conley (Patti), and Patrick Conley; her brothers-in-law Thomas Moreland (Eileen) and John Moreland, her sister-in-law Kathy Moreland; her grandsons Johnny Hess and David Parnell, plus 10 nieces and nephews and 11 great nieces and nephews. Linda and her family moved to Riverview, FL when she was 10 and lived in that part of Florida except for a period of time in the 1980s where she lived in Houston, TX and met Rick. After high school she worked for several years as an Administrative Assistant in several departments at the University of South Florida. She earned an Associate of Arts degree from Polk Community College in Information Technology. She worked in that field for over 20 years including companies like Keystone Valve, System One (data center for Continental Airlines), and Publix Super Markets. She retired from that field in 2008 to take her favorite job. She was the nanny for her niece, Cristin Keane, and her children, Sally Keane and Danny Keane. She kept that job for 5 years. She and Rick both retired in 2013 and traveled extensively with many friends until her cancer diagnosis in October, 2024. For a period from 2020 to 2024 they lived in the mountains of North Georgia and owned 2 acres which they adored. They had returned to Florida just before her cancer diagnosis. She spent the last 13 months surrounded by her loving family. Linda was one of the most positive and kindest people you could ever meet. Her death will leave a void in the lives of many including lifelong friends. She had several hobbies but her passion was spending time with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to LifePath Hospice or the American Cancer Society in her memory. A Celebration Of Life is planned for 10 am on Saturday February 14, 2026. It will be held at Presbyterian Church of Bloomingdale, 710 E Bloomingdale Ave in Brandon, FL and will also be broadcast on Facebook live.
