Born March 27, 1924, in East Aurora, New York, and a longtime resident of Port Orange, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025, at the age of 101.

She was married to the late Norman Albert Wittmeyer. Mary Jane was the beloved mother of Holly Carol Higgins (Christopher); cherished grandmother of Bill (Carrie), Robert (Jade), Rachel (Skylar), Nicole (Daniel), Emily (Keith), and Sara (Justin); and treasured great-grandmother of Eden, Ava, Olivia, Joshua, Grace, Savannah, Jack, McKenna, and Mabel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Helen Schonblom, and her brothers, Kenneth and George Schonblom.

Mary Jane was a past member of the East Aurora Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. After moving to Florida, she became a dedicated member of the Port Orange Police Department VIP organization, where she faithfully served for 43 years before retiring. She also enjoyed fellowship and friendship as a participant in the Red Hat Society.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at 2:15 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes in Daytona, Florida.
