Melvin "Mel" Hugh Schneck, 80 of Oviedo, FL passed away September 13, 2025. He is survived by his wife, of 56 years, Catherine Schneck.

Melvin was born September 7, 1945, in Pottsville, PA to the parents of Richard and Vaudine M. Schneck. He graduated from William R. Boone High School in 1963 and was a proud Army Veteran serving in German from 1965 – 1963. On April 19, 1969, he married Catherine Jane Gabel at Aloma Baptist Church by David Harris (old church on Aloma). Mel worked for 45 years at Hammond and Avnet Electronics. On May 26 ^th , 1991, Mel was baptized at Parkway Baptist Church. He loved his Savior, Jesus Christ, his church and life group. He was an usher and greeter at Parkway and Aloma Baptist. He never met a stranger and could always talk to anyone. He loved to share stories of his life and make everyone laugh. He was an avid Gator fan. He enjoyed playing short stop on Men's Softball Leagues and Bowling Leagues as well.

Mr. Schneck is survived by two sons, Kevin Gene Schneck and his wife Brandy; Richard Lee Schneck and his wife Jackie; and seven grandchildren, Bryce, Reece, Ryla, Renen, Raylynn, Dylan and Joslyn.
