Omer was born on August 19, 1944 in Broseley, Missouri to Esco Luttrull and Lucille Howard. He attended school in Poplar Bluff but left when he was sixteen to begin working at Faust Grocery on the east side of Poplar Bluff and brought his entire paycheck home to his momma.
Omer married Teresa Diane Gresham in 1966. Their lengthy divorce was finalized in January of 1978 and Omer married Brinda Joan Davidson on February 24, 1978 in the living room of a preacher's house in Poplar Bluff surrounded by 5 kids with 8 dollars to their name after they paid the preacher.
Omer and Brinda settled in Jackson, Missouri raising 7 kids between them. Their door was always open to friends and extended family and there was always food on the table, no matter how many sat around it. And oh my God – the laughter.
Omer served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969. He would say "Three years two months and two days but who was counting." He worked in the foundry at General Motors in Flint, Michigan and worked as a machinist at Burgess Norton Manufacturing in Geneva, Illinois. He picked up roofing work in Cape Girardeau County until 1978 when he joined the Iron Worker's Local Union 510 out of Corpus Christi, Texas and worked as an iron worker in California, Alaska, Texas, Maryland, Illinois, and Missouri.
In 1980 Omer and Brinda built their first home on Hwy 72 West of Jackson, Missouri. They continued building houses and duplexes and remodeling older homes throughout his lifetime, continuing even into his retirement.
Omer and Brinda opened Country Shade Craft Mall in 1992 and ran it side by side until 2002 when they decided to develop real estate full time.
Omer and Brinda moved to Orlando, Florida in 2019 and lived a happy retirement in a 55+ community called Fairways Country Club where they quickly became known for their dancing skills, remodeling skills and their devotion to one another.
Omer is survived by his wife of 47 years, Brinda Luttrull, their kids, Angela Kay Davidson Kaslow (Christopher), Harry Dennis Davidson (Nice), Larry Wayne Luttrull, Timothy Leon Luttrull, Tammy Lynette Luttrull, and Chad Lee Davidson (Khrystina), 13 grandchildren, Amanda Rees (Kyle), Christopher Higgins, Sarah Ann Montgomery (Scott), Ashley Mae, Kimberly Renae Luttrull, Kory Michael Davidson, Kara Ashley Luttrull, Kaje Sizemore; Margaret Mary Morris, Victoryia Sizemore, Cody Allen Luttrull, Maxwell Ryan Davidson, and Amelia Luttrull; and 16 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, all of which thought the world of him. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Charles Sparks, his sister Goldie Canady, his sister Freda Mayberry, his twin sister Laura Dubar, his brother Perry Richard Luttrull, his son, Perry Allen Luttrull, his grandson Jacob Aaron Luttrull, and two great grandsons Cayden Luttrull and Brantley Luttrull.
