Peter Hinkel, 72, of Sarasota passed away on Tuesday, September 2nd at Tidewell Hospice House of Lakewood Ranch. Peter was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 28th, 1953 two Peter and Elizabeth Hinkel. Peter was a graduate of Riverview High School and furthered his education at Manatee Community College, The Evinrude School and MerCruiser School.

Peter was a marine mechanic on the East Coast of Florida. He was a master of his trade but was not limited to mechanics. There was nothing he couldn't fix or build. He moved back to Sarasota in 1992.

Peter resided in the country in Sarasota county he enjoyed the wildlife that visited His yard daily, he enjoyed gardening and working on the land. He also enjoyed raising in training, his golden retrievers.

Peter was predeceased by his father Peter P Hinkel. He has survived and loved by his wife, Sally; his mother, Elizabeth; and his brother, Carl; all of Sarasota. He also was survived by his two daughters, Mandi Sanguiolo of Palm City, Florida and Brooke Loudakis of Stuart, Florida. He also had two grandsons, he adored, Dominic and Camden Sanguiolo. He also leaves behind family in Chicago, Illinois and Germany.
