Obituary

Robert William Beach, 77, of South Daytona, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, at Halifax Hospice, with his beloved wife and daughter by his side.

Robert was a proud Vietnam Veteran who served with honor in the 1st Cavalry Division and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service. His time in the military was an important chapter of his life and one he carried with quiet pride, shaping his perspective and resilience in the years that followed.

For over 30 years, Robert worked for Able Womack in Windsor, Connecticut, where he built a career marked by dedication and reliability before retiring. Retirement allowed him to fully embrace the many passions that defined him throughout his life.

Robert was gentle, kind, and had an unmistakable zest for life. He had an incredible ability to understand how things worked and could always be counted on to fix whatever needed attention, whether it was a small household project or something much larger. He was a man of many interests throughout his life, including coaching soccer, bicycling, motorcycles, homesteading, and ultimately enjoying the slower pace of retired life in Florida.

He was always ready to offer advice and never short on a story to share, even if it was the same one told more than once. His wisdom, humor, and steady presence were gifts to everyone who knew him.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Diane; his sister, Cindy Paulsen, and her husband Paul of Fort Ann, New York; his children and stepchildren; and his seven grandchildren.

He leaves behind his son, Erik Beach and wife Christine of Arlington, Virginia; his daughter, Kimberly Pendred and husband Jason of Rio Rancho, NM, and grandchildren Alexander and Cameron; stepdaughter Jessica Mastrianni of Worcester, Massachusetts, and grandchildren Julie, Matthew, and Bradley; and stepson John Handrigan and wife Meggin of West Kingston, Rhode Island, and grandchildren Chandler and Cooper.

Robert will be missed more than he could ever know, and his memory will live on through the many lives he touched with his kindness, generosity, and love.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery 5525 US Hwy1 Mims Florida 32754; Wednesday, January 28,2026 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's memory to Halifax Hospice of Port Orange, Florida.https://halifaxhealth.org/hospice-information/give
