Sandor Jay "Sandy" Israel of Ocala, Florida passed away on Friday August 22, 2025. at the age of 74.  He was born in Baltimore in 1950 and moved to Ocala in 1989.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Shiela (nee Platt), 2 sisters, and his nephew, John Helton, and others.  Sandy was predeceased by his devoted parents, Philip and Muriel Israel.

Sandy was one of a kind.  He loved his dogs and cats, the Orioles, and the Ravens.  He loved gardening, fishing, cars, manatees, the local wildlife which sometimes came to visit him at his home, and his Jewish faith.  He will be missed by everyone that knew and loved him.
