IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sandra B.
Quinn
January 3, 1941 – August 31, 2025
Sandra B. Quinn, 84, of Fort Myers, Florida quietly passed into the hands of the Lord August 31, 2025. She was the second of three daughters born to Arthur Van and Erma Jeanette (Love) Bridwell of Bedford, Indiana.
Her parents named her Sondra Rose. She was affectionately known to family and friends as "Sonnie" during her youth. As an adult a mistake on her birth certificate was discovered resulting in her being known as Sandra or "Sandy" to her coworkers and friends made in later years.
Sonnie was a proud member of the Bedford High School class of 1959. She was a "yell leader" for the Stonecutters and selected as Prom Queen.
In November 1959 she married James E. Endris, of Bedford. They had two children, Marcia Marie and Martin Van.
Sonnie/Sandy spent most of her working years as a bookkeeper, first for Royal Chevrolet and then Harry Stephens Oldsmobile in Bloomington, Indiana. After her marriage to Donald M. Whaley, she managed the weekly payroll for his masonry construction company.
Sandy retired and moved to Fort Myers in 2003. She married Conrad M. Quinn in 2009. Sandy loved reading and going to the movies. Her favorite thing in the world was music and dancing. She was never happier than when on the dance floor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Quinn, parents Arthur Van and Erma Bridwell and older sister Shirley Robertson Steward. Survivors include her younger sister Carol Freeman Knapp; her children, Marci (David) Volz and Marty Endris; six grandchildren, Drake (Leah) Volz, Drew Volz, Deakin Volz, Eliza (Luke) Jahnke, Van Endris and Dain Endris. She was thrilled with the arrival of her first great-grandchild born August 7, Lucy Josephine Jahnke.
An internment service will be held on a future date at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington, Indiana. Memorial donations on her behalf may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at T2T.org or the American Legion Auxiliary Post #18, Bloomington, Indiana.
