Obituary

Sidney M. Sussman, 72, of Wildwood, Florida, passed away suddenly on November 29, 2025. A dedicated entrepreneur, Sid owned and operated PESI and Hook Up Lures, where his hard work, creativity, and generous spirit touched countless people throughout the community.

Born into a loving family, Sid made his home in Coconut Grove and cherished his time at his second home in Islamorada, where the water was never far from reach. He had a lifelong passion for fishing, often finding peace and joy out on the water. Sid also cultivated a remarkable collection of orchids, and delighted friends and family with his talent for juggling — a reflection of his playful charm.

Sid adored his Golden Retrievers — Bernie, Jax, Bilbao, and Bernadette — who were constant companions and sources of happiness. He enjoyed riding his Harley, cheering on his favorite football and baseball teams, and was an enthusiastic supporter of the Miami Heat.

To know Sid was to know a man who was charming, generous, and relentlessly hardworking. His presence lit up every room, and his kindness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.

Sid is survived by his wife, Linda; his sister, Hanna Triplett, and her husband, Wayne; his brother, Jeff Sussman, and his wife, Debbie; and his nephew, Josh Sussman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Gayle Sussman.

Sid's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.
