Obituary

Stephen Karl Kinnamon, 65, of Port Orange, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 6, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on September 29, 1960, to William (Bill) and Anneliese Kinnamon.

Steve devoted his life to serving others. For many years, he worked as a Lieutenant with the Port Orange Department of Fire and Rescue, where his unwavering dedication and compassion made a lasting impact on the community he loved. He volunteered for assignment to the Port Orange Fire Marshal's office as a Fire Prevention Specialist. Steve also worked at Daytona State College as a fire instructor for many years.

He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially his lifelong love of sports. A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, he rarely missed a game and cheered with unwavering loyalty. He was also a passionate NASCAR enthusiast, proudly following the racing career of Bill Elliott and then his son, Chase. Whether watching the Cowboys take the field or Elliott speed around the track, those moments brought him excitement and connection with the people he loved.

Beyond sports, he had a true love for travel and adventure. Cruising was one of his greatest joys – he cherished exploring new places and sharing unforgettable experiences with family and friends.

He is survived by his loving partner of 16 years, Debbie. His two daughters, Lindsey (Ben) Little and Taylor Kinnamon. His two grandsons, Westin Spencer and Noah Little. His brother Peter (Mary) Kinnamon, as well as many extended family members and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts. He is preceded in death by his parents and Granddaughter, Emily Little.

In honor of his wishes, there will be no formal service. The family asks those who knew and loved him to take a moment in their own way to remember his kindness, his laughter, and the joy he brought into their lives.
