He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 33 years Sally (Hoover); parents Otto and Gladys (Rankin) Klaum; brothers Gerald Klaum and Robert Klaum; and daughter-in-law Carolyn (Darren) Klaum. Wayne was born and raised in Johnstown, PA. He graduated from Concord College in West Virginia with a BS in Physical Education in 1959, followed by a subsequent master's degree in educational counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Wayne taught Health and Physical Education courses at both Joseph Johns and Garfield Junior High Schools. He moved to Monroeville, PA in the late 60's where he eventually raised his family and began work in purchasing at Swindell Dressler Corporation. He then took a position in purchasing at Westinghouse Electric, Nuclear Fuel Division, from where he eventually retired. Wayne moved to Port Orange, FL in 2006. He really enjoyed golf, belonging to Willowbrook Country Club in Apollo, PA for several years, then played several courses after moving to Florida. He attended church faithfully in several different churches over his lifetime and enjoyed both Contemporary Christian and Country music. He loved to tell a saucy limerick or two as well as tales of his childhood adventures. He was a loving, yet no-nonsense father, and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. There will be no funeral service. His family will gather for a private ash spreading service of remembrance in the future.
