William "Bill" Joseph Jungers, 86 of Ocala, Florida, passed away on December 13, 2025.

Bill was born in Hartley, Iowa, on April 5, 1939 to Joseph Jungers and Helena Elnora McGrath Jungers. Bill was a proud member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at Iowa State. After a break with a number of years of working, he returned to his schooling and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree through the University of The State of New York in 1977. The youngest of five children, Bill was born and raised in rural Iowa but wanderlust and job opportunities found him moving a number of times throughout his life. He finally settled in Ocala, Florida, where he spent his sunset years. His farm boy roots showed in his love of being outside in his yard and garden. He also loved working with his hands to build everything from whirley-gigs to custom model boats.

He married Judith "Judy" Ann Wallace in April 1961. After 57 years of happy marriage together, Judy passed in 2018. In June 2019, he found new love and married Suzanne "Sue" Jane Tomey Jungers.

Bill had a long and fruitful career in IT. He worked with a number of firms over the years including: Parke-Davis, Miles Laboratories, the College of American Pathologists, InSteel, Briar Cliff College and others. In his later years, he ran a HobbyTown USA Store in Branson Missouri.

Bill is survived by his wife, Sue, and his three daughters: Susan Rae Jungers Oliver (Jim), Barbara Ellen Jungers Teusink (Brian) and Cathleen Anne Jungers Hanslits (Patrick) and four grandchildren: Adam Wesley Oliver, Sean Nicholas Oliver, Annalea Rose Hanslits (fiancé Brian Walrad) and Samuel Augustus Hanslits. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and nieces and nephews (or as he would say, damn near everyone).

A private memorial service will be planned for a beloved spot in Michigan at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the charity of your choice.
