Obituary

Ola B. Hardy Born on August 18th, 1935 in Dawson Georgia. She was the youngest of her family, and daughter of the late Eugene and Johnny Bell Burch. On February 27th, 2021 at the age of 85, Ola Hardy went home to be with the Lord Jesus. In her education, she received her diploma from the state of New Jersey and later went on to pursue studies in nursing. Later in life, she retired as a corrections officer for the state of New Jersey. Ola was blessed with a large and loving family, and an addition was made to the family on August 18th 1989 when she married the love of her life, Monroe Hardy. Monroe and Ola Hardy had resided at their home in Ocala, Florida where she remained for some time after his death in 2014. They were always so hospitable to friends and family, and present in the church community of the First Assembly of God in Ocala. Ola B. Hardy was a strong, fun-loving and vibrant woman with timeless class. She helped raise the many nieces and nephews that the Lord blessed her with and lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling, watching her favorite tv shows and also faithfully tended to her garden filled with fruit trees and flowers. She was a woman of impeccable detail and always kept her home in order, even teaching some of her young nephews and nieces how to formally set a dining room table and maintain responsibility. While she was a sturdy backbone to many, she was also docile and will forever be remembered for her compassion, love and care that she shared as an aunt, sister, God-mother and friend. She's left a mark on all of the souls who've had the pleasure of knowing her, and she will always be in our hearts. Your presence we miss… Your memories we treasure. Loving you always, and forgetting you never. Left to honor her legacy is Sarah McGee, Minnie Royal, a host of nieces and nephews, God-children and numerous family and friends. Eulogy by Pastor Jeff Wade of First Assembly of God Place of Interment: Florida National Cemetery 6502 Southwest 102 Avenue Bushnell, FL 33513 "In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God." 1 Thessalonians 5:18
