Olga Betakas (95) of Flint, MI (Punta Gorda,FL) passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 27th, 2025 at Hope Hospice surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on April 18, 1930, the daughter of Alex and Katherine Sawchin.  She was a devoted mother to Kay and Sharon and a loving wife to Steve.  Olga will be remembered for her warm and generous nature and her kindness to all.  She worked for many years as the office manager for her husband's business, but also made time for her church activities and choir.  In addition, she volunteered at school and was a Brownie Leader.  Olga enjoyed cooking, baking for neighbors, entertaining, theatre, museums, reading, Tai Chi, and travel.  Family was very important to her.  Olga is survived by her daughters Kay (Tom), Sharon , her grandchildren Jessica (Claudia), Valerie, sister-in-law, Theresa, nephew Jon, and niece Tracy (Aleena and Dane).  She was preceded in death by her husband Steve, and brother-in-laws Fred and George.
