Pamela Ann (Bratton) Hudson

January 20, 1945 – April 12, 2025

Pamela Ann (Bratton) Hudson passed away on April 12, 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by her immediate family in Bradenton, Florida.

A cherished wife and mother, she will be remembered for her kindness and compassion for others, her love for her husband, daughter and son, her beauty – inside and out, as well as her laughter and wit.

Throughout high school, Pam ran track (hurdles), swam, and waterskied, and she graduated from St. Petersburg High School in 1963. In September 1965, she graduated from Sarasota Community School, becoming a licensed practical nurse.

On April 23, 1966, Pam married Peter Arthur Hudson, at First United Methodist Church of Palmetto, Florida. They were excited to start a family, and had two children, who meant the world to her. Peter and Pam shared almost 59 wonderful years of marriage.

She served her community as a nurse and caregiver in many roles, including as a pediatric ER nurse, and in administration at a full-service assisted living and retirement community, Freedom Village of Bradenton.

Pam was a loving and supportive wife and mother, who enjoyed taking care of her family and guiding her children through school and life. Her children will long remember her for sharing with them her love of reading, and her fondness for old movies, and for teaching them, through her own confidence, how to be strong and independent.

Throughout her life, Pam had many talents, hobbies, and interests. She enjoyed boating, travel, suntanning at the beach, gardening, fashion, home decorating, and crewel embroidery. She was known for keeping a beautiful and immaculate home and garden.

Pam is survived by her husband, Peter Hudson, who took wonderful care of her during the last years of her life, brother, Alan Bratton, daughter and son-in-law, Pam Ellen and Tony Danko, son, Peter Todd, and his partner, Wendy Britt and their daughter, Megan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Jeanette (Blank) Bratton, and twin brother, Steve.

Pam's love, companionship, advice, support, and laughter will be deeply missed.

Per her wishes, the immediate family held a private ceremony on April 27, 2025 at 9:00 in the morning. She was laid to rest at Palm – Robarts Memorial Park in Sarasota, Florida.
