Obituary

Pat Brasher, age 91, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026. Born on June 6, 1934, Pat lived a long and meaningful life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and unwavering faith.

Pat proudly served his country in the United States Military during two separate periods, from 1955 to 1957 and again from 1959 to 1962. Following his military service, he built a strong work ethic through a variety of roles, including 15 years with Sears and Roebuck in Birmingham, Alabama, and 9 years with the Orlando Sentinel. He later continued his career in operations at Orlando-Sanford International Airport, working in TSA security until his retirement in 2015.

He was married to his beloved wife, Amelia “Amy” Brasher of Sanford, Florida, with whom he shared a life of love and partnership.

Pat found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed walking, fishing, singing gospel music, and spending time reading his Bible. His faith was an important part of his life, and he was a member of the Orlando Filipino Christian Fellowship.

Known for his lively personality, Pat will be remembered as funny, kind, and loving. He could be stubborn and direct at times, but those who knew him best will cherish his sweetness and the genuine care he showed for others.

He is survived by his wife, Amy Brasher of Sanford, Florida; his children, Vanessa Davis of Quinton, Alabama, Mark Brasher of Empire, Alabama, and Megan L. Miller of Sanford, Florida; his siblings, Clifford Brasher of Pell City, Alabama, Betty Thompson of Vestavia, Alabama, and Fran Voegtle of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his grandchildren, Jazmine Butler of Sanford, Florida, and Isaac Denson of Daytona Beach, Florida; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Brasher of Birmingham, Alabama.

Pat’s legacy of faith, resilience, and love for his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
