Patricia Ann Blanchette, 69, Edgewater FL died Sunday, January 15, 2012. She was born in New London, Connecticut to Edward and Beatrice (nee: Watt) Prokop. She worked as a server in the hospitality industry most of her life. Patricia grew up on a farm and was a member of 4-H. Because her grandparents had immigrated from the Ukraine she took great pride in volunteering at OpSail 2000 where she helped aboard the Ukrainian tall ship Batkivchshyna while it was docked in the US. She moved to this area about ten years ago from Norwich, CT. She and her husband, the late Ronald Blanchette lived on a boat in New Smyrna Beach where they enjoyed painting and bird watching. Her family remembered her love for family and her passion for caring for them. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons Phiip and Chris Medbery, Mark Medbery, Scott Medbery, sisters Mary Ellen Lindie, Dorothy Mattos and several grandchildren and step grandchildren. Services will be in Connecticut.
