The Villages
Patricia Ann Colloton, 77, passed away on September 8, 2026, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.
Born on May 23, 1949, in Troy, New York, Patricia grew up in Latham, where she developed the warmth, curiosity, and steady kindness that shaped her life. She was the daughter of Phyllis and J. Thomas Halloran, both deceased. Pat was also predeceased by her brother, Michael Halloran (Louise).
Patricia attended SUNY Potsdam, where she earned her Elementary Teaching Degree. She went on to devote her career to educating young children through Head Start, the Ichabod Crane Schools and the Averill Park School District. She brought patience, creativity, and genuine care to her classrooms, touching countless lives and leaving a lasting impact on her students. She was also active as a 4H leader in Columbia County, NY where she nurtured students' sewing skills.
While working, Patricia resided in Schodack, New York, where she enjoyed countless get‑togethers, celebrations, and activities with friends and family as her blended family grew through their school years in East Greenbush.
For the past 18 years, Patricia and her husband, James Colloton Jr., have made their home in The Villages, Florida, where she embraced an active and joyful lifestyle. She enjoyed golfing—especially “nine and dine”—line dancing, pool exercising, organizing cruises for her many friends, spending time with her Disney Club friends (The Tinks), and having great times with the Beach Club. Patricia also loved sewing and embroidery, creating pieces that reflected her creativity and attention to detail.
Patricia cherished her summers at Gull Bay on Lake George, where she found deep happiness surrounded by family and friends. Her time on the lake brought her some of her most treasured memories.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, James Colloton Jr.; her children, Lisa Koval (David), Kelly Ann Martin (Tammy), and James Colloton III; her grandson, James Colloton IV; and her sister, Debora Halloran.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Oct 3 at the Hibiscus Recreation Center. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association .
Patricia will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. Her warmth and spirit will remain with her family and friends forever.
