Patricia "Patti" Jayne Edwards, 67, of South Daytona, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, surrounded by love.

A lifelong advocate for children and community, Patti dedicated her life to service. She proudly served as a Girl Scout Leader and as a PTA president and volunteer for Volusia County Schools, always championing the needs and dreams of young people. Her career at the Daytona International Speedway added another dimension to her vibrant and hardworking spirit, where she brought the same passion and purpose that defined her life.

Patti's greatest joy came from giving—whether it was through mentoring, organizing, or simply showing up when someone needed her most. Her warmth, commitment, and strength of character touched everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Eric Edwards; her daughter, Caitlyn Montgomery; her cherished granddaughters, Ally and Ella Edwards; siblings, Christine (Bob) Cochran, Jim Edwards, Michelle (David) Mercier, Douglas (Theresa) Edwards, Dennis (Mary) Edwards, Jason (Donna) Edwards, and Kathleen (Blaise) Ryan; and sister-in-law, Darlene Desmond.

She was predeceased by her brother, David Edwards; her parents, James Edwards and Grace Edwards Perih; and her beloved friend, Lydia Eastman.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her legacy of kindness and service will live on in the countless lives she impacted.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 9th, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Port Orange Halifax Hospice Center . All who knew and loved Patti are welcome to attend in any purple attire, her favorite color! We encourage anyone to bring their memories and photos.
