IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia
Fischer
October 2, 1947 – February 2, 2026
Patricia Fischer (née Jachim), 78, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, in The Villages, Florida.
Born on October 2, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, Patricia was the beloved daughter of John and Francis Jachim and the oldest of four siblings. She is survived by her sister Sharon; and brother Bob. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother Ken; and her daughter-in-law Tiffany.
After meeting on a tennis court, Patricia married her soulmate, Russ, on May 22, 1976. Together they built a life grounded in love and nearly 50 years of unwavering devotion. Side by side, they built their dream home, raised their children, cherished evenings filled with dinners with friends and quiet nights watching their favorite shows.
After leaving Chicago, Patricia and Russ raised their children in Florida before later moving to California to be near their growing grandchildren. Patricia loved her years in the San Francisco Bay Area and cherished being present as her grandchildren grew. She had a profound impact on their lives, whether it was picking up after school, providing encouragement, and teaching traditions they will carry forward. When her children later moved to Chicago and Louisville, Kentucky, Patricia and Russ returned to Florida.
Known to many as Trish or Pat, she began her career at Commonwealth Edison after graduating from high school. After marrying Russ, she chose to dedicate herself fully to raising her children, creating a home filled with love, stability, and tradition. Later, she returned to the workforce at Paychex before retiring.
Patricia was a loving wife, devoted mother, and immensely proud grandmother. She is survived by her cherished husband Russ; her children Jill and Scott; and her treasured grandchildren Athena, Austin, and Connor, who brought her endless joy, pride, and laughter. She will also be fondly remembered by her extended family, including many nieces and nephews.
She was deeply involved in her community, volunteering at her children’s school, at sporting events and serving on the Board of Directors at Countryside Country Club in Clearwater, Florida. Patricia found happiness in cooking her beloved family recipes, visiting loved ones, and traveling on cruises with those closest to her. Her warm hugs, generous spirit, and steadfast devotion to family defined her life.
A Celebration of Life Open House will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the family home, 316 Bethany Court, Naperville, Illinois. Family and friends are invited to stop by, share memories, and celebrate Patricia’s life. Brief remarks and an opportunity for family and friends to share memories will take place at approximately 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research in her honor.
Patricia’s love lives on in every story told, every recipe shared, and every tradition carried forward. Arrangements entrusted with BALDWIN BROTHERS Funeral & Cremation Society-Spanish Springs, 352-430-1449. Sentiments are encouraged at www.baldwincremation.com.
