Patricia (Pat) Gordon Johnson, 84, loving wife of 63 years to Edward Esrey Johnson, of Ormond Beach, Florida and Greene, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully Monday, April 12th, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on October 15, 1936 in New York, New York, she was the daughter of the late George Arthur Gordon, Jr. of Savannah, Georgia and the late Jane Yarrow Ryan of New York, New York. She graduated from The Masters School, Dobbs Ferry, New York and attended Mount Holyoke College, Holyoke, Massachusetts.
Patricia was a dedicated member of the Garden Club of the Halifax Country, and the Colonial Dames of America, Rhode Island Chapter. She also volunteered with many organizations in and around Ormond Beach, Florida including the Center for the Blind in Daytona Beach, the Bell Ringers, Pink Ladies of Ormond Memorial Hospital, Girl Scouts of America, and St. Brendan the Navigator Church. Patricia was a devout Catholic and her faith was reflected in her daily life. She always thought first of others and gave generously of herself to those around her.
She is survived by her husband Edward, daughters Dawn Lockwood and Faith Underwood both of Greene, RI and Jennifer Johnson-Blouin of Quebec City, Quebec, Canada; grand-children Ariel Blouin, Thomas and Mead Lockwood, Ryan and Logan Underwood; her sisters Paige Gordon Platt and Gray Gordon Bower; and her half siblings Cornelia Agnew, Sherry Minnich, Leigh Ashman, Dana Lane, Kenzie Gordon and McGuire (Mac) Gordon.
A Mass will be held for Patricia at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church April19, 2021 at 11:00 AM, 1000 Ocean Shore Boulevard, Ormond Beach, Florida. A Memorial and Burial will be held in Greene, Rhode Island at the Hopkins Hollow Church.
