Patricia is now reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband John Joseph "Poppy" "Tweet" Matwijcow Jr., who passed away in 2021. They got happily married in 1964. For over 60 years, their love and strength built them into a robust life. Leading to both having shared laughter, passion, numerous careers and personal achievements that created the opportunity for them to have multiple pets, homes, as well as stories.
Originally born in Plainfield NJ on September 26th, 1944, Patty was raised and lived her early adult life in South Plainfield NJ for 44 years. She was the daughter of the late John J. Cirigliano and the late Alma Frances Frontera. Patricia was the eldest child of her family and had one brother, the late John J. Cirigliano Jr. Her beloved cousin but more of a sister, the late Carolyn Johnson.
Patricia was a loving mother, cousin, friend, and highest of all a "Nana". She lived a life defined by resilience, loyalty, and deep love. Her character brought warmth, honesty, and enduring strength that left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She was known for her fierce spirit, "live in the moment" attitude, and strength for her those close to her. These qualities carried her through life's many adventures and challenges. Patty throughout her years was an entrepreneur, a coffee enthusiast, tattoo fanatic, animal lover, and free spirit. Raised of the Catholic faith, in later years began exploring her spirituality. Her curiosity and open-mindedness allowed her to explore all cultures as well as their respected beliefs.
After graduating high school, Patricia's ambitious and driven spirit led her to many honorable accomplishments. She became a licensed beautician where her passion for cosmetics, jewelry and fashion flourished. Her proudest accomplishment was when she gave birth to her three children: John, Kimberly, and Jessica. She then became an Art Teacher at McAuley School where she taught and cared for multiple children with disabilities including her son, John, who also attended the school. Patty, later while raising her children, opened PAM Handcrafters. The business was built upon providing the handcrafts created by her students to her local community as well as ceramic classes and supplies for those in need. Continuing her entrepreneurial aspirations, she went on to open a gift shop called "We-B-Gifts" and an Italian bakery & Coffee shop named "Mannino's".
After being a native of northern New Jersey for nearly 6 decades, she eventually moved to the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania in 2002 and lastly resided in The Villages of Florida in 2025. During this time her primary focus was being the caregiver to her son John "Johnny" Matwijcow III. An insight to her hobbies and interests include but are not limited to; gardening, painting, crafting, tattoos, fostering cats, Italian culinary, visiting the Jersey Shore, collecting "tweety bird" knick-knacks, shopping, as well as having coffee all hours of the day. Patricia always had an opinion and was not afraid to make it known. Her home was always open to all her friends and family who needed it. Everyone knew you could talk to her about anything. Her experiences of life allowed her to provide compassionate advice by telling you to lead with strength and perseverance. These qualities provided a mold for her loved ones to live by and will also be cherished by them forever.
