Patricia Marian Reedy, 94, of Ormond Beach FL passed away on July 17. She was born to loving parents Lester and Marian DeRome in Chicago, IL, where she grew up alongside her sister Delores. Pat attended Loyola University before meeting her future husband Lawrence W. Reedy Jr at a party. Pat & Larry made their home in Elmhurst, IL for fifty years, where they raised their seven daughters.

Pat enjoyed tennis, golfing, traveling and sewing, and her enjoyment of reading, crossword puzzles, bridge, and poker kept her mind sharp. Her love of shopping kept her working at Saks Fifth Avenue Oak Brook and as a Realtor.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband Larry and four of their daughters; Denise, Debbie, Dorothy, and Donna. Pat moved to Ormond Beach to be closer to her daughters Dee & Daneen (Ormond Beach), Diane (Sarasota) and grandson Dillon (Sarasota).

Throughout the years Pat brought the same enthusiasm for life into all her endeavors and made many lasting friendships. Pat’s friends were of all ages, and she could converse with much younger people because she was keenly interested in current events. She delighted in young people and made everyone comfortable with her non-judgmental way of listening. Pat took great pride in dressing well, carrying herself with effortless style no matter the occasion. Her Catholic faith was a guiding light throughout her life; her prayers and love of God offering comfort and strength throughout the years.

Pat’s life will be celebrated in a Mass at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 600 S Nova Rd, Ormond Beach, FL 32174, FL on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
