Paula Graham Braun
June 26, 1956 – July 6, 2025
Paula Graham Braun, 69, of Davenport, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025.
Paula was the beloved wife of 42 years to Joseph Braun and the devoted mother of four children: Jon (Ellen), Austin (Michelle), Tara (Bahrom), and Adele (Oliver). She was a cherished sister to her four brothers, Dave, Christopher, Geoff, and Glenn and a proud grandmother to Isabel, Nora, Nathaniel, Madeleine, Elliot, and Houston.
Paula is survived by her mother, Barbara Leone Graham of Louisville, Kentucky and was preceded in death by her father, Ferdinand Graham.
Originally born on June 26, 1956, in Morris Plains, New Jersey, Paula spent her formative years in Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated from Wittenberg University in 1978, where she was an active member of Kappa Delta and The Wizards.
Paula settled in Friendswood, Texas where she and Joe began and grew their family. Over the years, the Brauns lived in Potomac, Maryland as well as Lutz, Clearwater, and Davenport, Florida. Paula loved spending time with family and friends in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, which she considered her home away from home. Paula's magnetic personality always led to new friends and lifetime connections everywhere she went.
Paula had an incredible gift for bringing people together. A passionate cook and baker, she was known for her legendary quiches, brownies, and party mix, which were staples at every family gathering. Holidays were her favorite time of year, and she poured her heart into hosting joyful, memory-filled Thanksgivings and Christmases that her family will always treasure.
Paula was a gifted and heartfelt writer, and her words were as nourishing as her meals. She had a beautiful way of making others feel seen, loved, and appreciated, most often through handwritten cards sent for every birthday, holiday, and "just because" moment. Her kindness and thoughtfulness touched countless lives. Paula was also a committed volunteer and advocate for others. From President of the PTO to countless hours across many non-profits, she had a strong conviction to help others in need while supporting her local community.
Among her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren. She loved reading to them, playing with them, and being there for all the little moments that meant the most. Paula's legacy is one of love, generosity, and a deep devotion to family and friendship. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Memorials and celebrations of life will be held in Davenport, Florida and in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
