IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pauline
Prusakowski
June 20, 1940 – February 18, 2025
Pauline Joyce Prusakowski passed away on Feb 18, 2025 at E.W. & Lucille Cates House hospice, Ocala FL. She was 84 years old. Pauline was born to parents Jean Beatrice Rae and Paul Joseph Monroe in Bronx, NY. Growing up Pauline also lived in Yonkers, and later moved to the mid-Hudson Valley area of NY. Pauline had 6 children. She was predeceased by her two oldest sons John and Robert Prusakowski. She is survived by her life partner of 48 years Richard Bates of Ocala FL; her estranged daughter Nancy (Doug) Hight of Mohawk NY; daughter Linda (Scotty) Lunsford of Ocala FL; son Donald (Laura Gail) Prusakowski of Hyde Park NY; son David (Teri) Prusakowski of Wappingers Falls NY; sister Vivien Hartman of Poughkeepsie NY; and brother Paul John Monroe of Ocala FL. Pauline also has 11 grand-children and 20 great-grandchildren. Pauline had a full and active life. She loved the outdoors and was engaged in gardening, boating, fishing, camping, hiking, snow skiing, motorcycling and riding trains. She also loved doing arts and crafts and crocheting. Pauline worked for more than 20 years as a waitress, did some bartending, and also was a day care worker for several years. After Rick retired from IBM Corp in 2007, they spent most of the next 16 years traveling the US and Canada in their motor home, often towing their motorcycle. They spent most of the time staying in the Blue Ridge Mts of North Carolina and Virginia. Highlights of those years were trips to Prince Edward Island, Canadian Maritime Provinces, and Nova Scotia. Paulines' favorite RV memory was a 65 day trip out west, seeing Mt Rushmore, George Custer State Park, Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton Natonal Park, Great Smokey Mt National Park and a ride to the top of the Gateway Arch in St Louis. Her greatest love and joy was time spent with family and friends. Her niece Victoria McAllister summed up Paulines life best…. "A beautiful soul is never forgotten, just remembered with great love." We will never forget you Pauline, you will always be loved and missed, and we will see you again on the other side. God Bless you and rest in peace. There will be no calling hours or public viewing. It was Paulines'wish to have her ashes buried in Cherokee, NC. This will be done in a private family gathering at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to Disabled American Veterans or your local ASPCA. A celebration of Life Service will be held for Pauline at St John Lutheran Church, 1915 SE Lake Weir Avenue, Ocala, FL on Sunday, March 2, at 2pm. All are welcome to attend.
