It is with deep sorrow that we share with you that Peggy Ann Elrod, Retired Purchasing Civil Servant died unexpectedly on Sunday morning July 13, 2025, at the age of 87 peacefully in her home in The Villages, Florida.

Peggy Ann Elrod survived by her Daughter, Deborah Ann Elrod, Son, Roger James Elrod, his wife Anne Elrod and their 2 sons Tyler and Preston Elrod. Brothers, Jackie Ford and Stuart Ford both of Virginia and Sister, Dorithy Waid, of Ill.

Peggy was born in Cumberland, VA on June 21, 1938.  She was the eldest of 5 children, parents being Willie Lee Ford and Nina Lucy Bryant Ford. Siblings Ernest Ford, Dorothy Ford, Stuart Ford, and Jackie Ford. She was the wife of MGySgt Theo H. Elrod, United States Marine Corps who passed away September 2015. During their time together not only did both serve their country but they had the opportunity to be stationed in countries that the US helped protect.

Her favorite pastime was bowling, and she was proud of her 130 average. She walked 1 mile if not more every day along with other activities that she participated in.

In Isaiah 66:13. This is the promise, that just as our beloved mom would always comfort us, even so the Lord will provide comfort at the loss of our mother.
