Peggy M. Fitzpatrick, aged 90, of Daytona Beach, FL formerly from Peoria, IL, passed away January 26, 2025, at 1 pm, surrounded by her two daughters. She was cared for by Advent Health, Daytona Beach, FL.

Peggy was born May 30, 1934, in Hamilton County, Illinois to Georgia E Vaughn. On May 17, 1952, she married Robert D (Fritz) Fitzpatrick in Peoria. She and Robert Fitzpatrick celebrated 65 years of marriage in 2017.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her son Robert Michael of Texas and her brother Mace Fennell of New Smyrna Beach, FL. She is survived by one son Patrick Fitzpatrick of Washington, IL and two daughters Debbie (Leon) Myers of Peoria, IL, Elizabeth (Mike) Nolan or Clermont, FL, one daughter-in-law Vicki Fitzpatrick, and one sister Glenda J Scheidler of MA. She has 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Peggy worked for Illinois Bell Telephone for 34 years until her retirement in 1986. Peggy was one of the first females to train as a lineman and worked to install and repair telephones in Peoria. She loved shopping, reading, books, traveling and casinos. She was an avid quilter.
