IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Peggy
Propp
September 29, 1935 – October 8, 2022
Peggy Colleen Propp, 87, passed away on October 8th, 2022, of natural causes. Peggy was born in Lost Springs, Kansas in 1935 to Ray ("Pinkie") and B. Fern Hayward. She grew up in Marion before marrying her high school sweetheart, Jim Propp, and moving to Fort Myers in 1962. Peg's faith and love for her Savior Jesus Christ was an essential part of her life and she was an active member of McGregor Baptist Church for over 45 years. After retiring, Peg traveled the country with her husband, Jim, and their adorable Shih Poo, Precious, in their RV. She also volunteered her time at Whisper Mountain Youth Camp, in Robbinsville, N.C. After briefly settling in Brevard, N.C., Peg and Jim moved back home to Fort Myers to spend time with family. Peg enjoyed reading, journaling, gardening, playing board games, and being outdoors. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grand- and great-grandchildren who will remember her as their kind-hearted and thoughtful "Gram-me Peg".
Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Jim, three children, James (Debbie), Julie (Chris), and Jodi (Hope), 6 grandchildren- Ryan (Tiana), Tara (Greg), Ramsey (Susan), Brandon (Ashley), Samantha (Alex) and Jordan (Sam), 10 great-grandchildren Cody, Emerson, John Ryan, Clayton, Duncan, Michael, Wyatt, Cooper, Aubree and Noah as well as brother, Tommy. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jan. She will be celebrated by family in a private memorial. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made in her name to Whisper Mountain Camp at https://whispermountain.org/memorial-page/.
