Peter George
Casey
1942 — 2026
In Loving Memory of Peter George CaseyJuly 23, 1942 – June 17, 2026
Peter George Casey, of Titusville, Florida, passed away in June 17, 2026 after a life defined by hard work, determination, and an unwavering commitment to his craft.
Born on July 23, 1942, in Burlington Lanka, England, Peter was proud of his English roots. As a young man working in London, he had the unique opportunity to work on the Queen’s castle. In recognition of his dedication and workmanship, he received a letter of appreciation from the Queen herself—an honor he carried with pride.
Construction was more than a career to Peter; it was who he was. He was a workaholic in every sense of the word and found purpose in building, creating, and staying busy. His work eventually brought him to the United States, where he spent years on construction projects from Houston, Texas, to Orlando, Florida. Even when many would have slowed down, Peter continued doing what he loved most. His final job, at the age of 72, was helping build the EPF at Cape Canaveral, where he worked alongside his son-in-law, Matthew Freeman.
Peter became an American citizen in 2011, embracing the country he had helped build through decades of hard work while maintaining the wit and character of his English upbringing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Susan (Lape) Casey, who passed away on December 19, 2025. Their lives were intertwined through many years of marriage, and they now rest together once again.
Peter is survived by his children, Catherine Casey, Neil Casey, and Candice Freeman, and his son-in-law, Matthew Freeman. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Oliver Casey, Chloe McMeeken, James Casey, Isobel Casey, Skyler Freeman, Ava Freeman, and Scarlett Freeman.
Anyone who knew Peter knew he loved sports. He was a devoted supporter of Chelsea Football Club, often insisting that soccer was “the REAL football.” He was also a loyal fan of the San Francisco 49ers, enjoying game days and spirited conversations about his teams.
Peter was known for being the life of the party. He enjoyed a good laugh, had a mischievous sense of humor, and wasn’t shy about flirting with the ladies. He was happiest when he had a job to do, people around him, and a story to tell.
As we say goodbye, we remember Peter as he was a hardworking Englishman who crossed an ocean in search of opportunity, helped build communities on two continents, loved his sports, and lived life on his own terms.
May he now find the rest that work never allowed him to take.
