Obituary

Philip J LeBlanc, Sr., age 85 of Fort Myers FL. died June 25, 2023 at Ambassador Nursing Home in Fort Myers, FL, following a long illness. He was the husband of Phyllis Anne (Champigny) LeBlanc with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. Born and raised in Salem, MA. He was the son of Adrian and Mabel (Jedry ) LeBlanc. Philip attended St Joseph's elementary school where he became fluent in the french language. He was an altar boy in the parish. While he attended grade school he had newspaper delivery routes in the morning and after school. A graduate of St John's Prep in Danvers, MA. He received a BS degree in Distribution Management from Boston College and later received an MBA degree in Business Management from Western NE College. In 1956 he enlisted in the Massachusetts National Guard and later was commissioned to 2nd Lieutenant in the USAR. He was honorably retired from service in 1964 as First LT. For a brief period Phil was associated with his family's LeBlanc Furniture Co. of Salem, MA. From there he went on to a career in purchasing at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford, CT. He ended his career there as supervisor of a group managing for P & W company partnerships in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Turkey, Poland and Israel. He later was a licensed real estate agent in RI. He also had various business associations in Metro Bowl-Duckpin Lanes, The Nut Shell, Atlantic Investments, Ness International and Ross Electric Solutions. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus Council 76 of Salem, MA.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Philip J LeBlanc,Jr. of Sunrise, FL, his daughter Adrienne LeBlanc of Greenville, ME, two brothers George LeBlanc of FL, Adrian LeBlanc of TX, two grandchildren Austin LeBlanc of Sunrise, FL and Robert LeBlanc of Orlando, FL and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three brothers Richard, Robert, and Paul LeBlanc and two sisters Eileen Szczechowicz and Claire LeBlanc. He was loved by so many and will always be remembered for his quirky personality, his smile and funny faces, his generosity, his sweet soul and his loving heart.

Arrangements: The family will be having a private mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist with cremation services and medical expenses to Gina LeBlanc (on behalf of Phyllis LeBlanc) at 10004 NW 46th St, Sunrise, FL 33351.
