Phyllis Ann Hargrave, 75, of Ocala, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025. She was born in Madisonville, Kentucky on July 7, 1949, to Jasper and Julah Franklin.

Phyllis graduated from RN school at Miami Dade Community College. She loved being a nurse, especially for Vitas Hospice as she was an RN on the Outreach Team for HIV/AIDS patients and then became Team Manager. She remained in home healthcare until she retired.

Those who knew Phyllis could describe her as a strong and very independent person who was kind, funny, goofy and clumsy. She loved with her whole heart, especially her family. She spent her time enjoying a good DIY project, yard sale, thrift store, or sometimes going to the beach to collect seashells. She also loved reading and was a huge Miami Dolphins fan. Her kind heart led her to be a lover for all animals.

Phyllis is survived by her son, James (Jordan) Wells, her daughter, Rustina (Rob) Jones, and six grandchildren, Dean, James, Felisha, Marissa, Kaylee, and Ava. She also has eight great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Julah.
