McKINNEY

Phyllis H. McKinney, died peacefully at her Deltona home after a long illness on January 17, 2018.  She was born to Glen and Vena Harman of Boissevain, Va. And was a graduate of Pocahontas High School.  Phyllis was employed by the Bluefield Daily Telegraph and Bluefield Gas Company in Bluefield, WV. Phyllis was married to Ronald J. McKinney for 68 years and he worked for the Norfolk and Western, later the, Norfolk Southern Railroad.  His job took him to various cities such as Roanoke, Norfolk, and Crewe, VA, St. Louis, MO and Atlanta, GA.  They retired to Deltona, FL but would spend their summers at the family home in Boissevain and attending numerous Pocahontas High School reunions.  Phyllis is survived by her husband, Ronald J.; son, Micheal G.; daughter, Rhonda J Glader; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  A special thank you to the Home Docs of Orange City, FL and Vitas Hospice for their professional, compassionate, care and support.
