Phyllis Sperry, age 98, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022, in New Smyrna Beach, FL.

She was born March 31, 1924, in Worcester, NY to Alma (Mable) and Fred Waid.  Phyllis was a dedicated member of her community.  She volunteered for many important organizations including the Council on Aging, Florida Hospital and the American Legion Auxiliary.  Phyllis was active for many years with the Edgewater United Methodist Church as well as a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She will be dearly missed by her cherished grandchildren, including Kimberly Black, Jason Sperry, Adam Sperry, Timothy Sperry and Andrew Sperry.  Phyllis also has 8 treasured great-grandchildren, Zachary, Dorothy, Lola, Isabelle, Adalyn and Emily Sperry; Elizabeth and Alexis Black.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stillman Walter Sperry in 1998; her sister, Alice Waid in 2006; her son, Walter Carl Sperry in 2010; and her son, Wade F. Sperry in 2014.

The family would like to thank the staff at Timberlane Lodge for their exemplary care of Phyllis in the last few years of her life.
