It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Prudence Schmidt Arnold. She passed peacefully on May 8th, just two months short of her 100th birthday. Prudence was born on July 8, 1926 in Paget East, Bermuda. She married Robert Ellsworth Schmidt in 1947 when he was stationed in Bermuda in the Army Air Corps. They went back to the States in New Jersey to start and raise their family.

Prudence is survived by her daughter Dale, sons Robert and Glenn, seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, son Richard and granddaughter Lisa as well as her second husband Archibald Arnold. Her second husband gave her another family of five children, Woody, Arch, Barbara, Laura and Joe, and 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Prudence lived her life enjoying every minute. She loved traveling, sewing and kniting and family. In her later years she was the Florida State Ping Pong Champion for the Over 80's category. Her family was so proud of her for the way she enjoyed her life.

A Memorial Service will be held in her Honor at St. Georges Episcopal Church, 1250 Paige Place, The Villages, FL 32159 on her 100th Birthday – July 8th at 2:00 p.m. The service will be followed by an Afternoon Tea in the Parish Hall. Please RSVP to 321.663.6479 if you can attend.
