Obituary

Ralph M. Cronk, 91, of Tavares, Florida, passed away on December 20, 2025. He was born on September 28, 1934, in White Plains, New York.

Ralph proudly served in the United States Navy and then built a 35-year career at Lockheed Martin, retiring as a senior test engineer. He had a curious, inventive mind and loved figuring out how things worked. Whether he was taking something apart, studying its design, or dreaming up a better way to build it, Ralph was always creating something useful and meaningful.

He was a talented craftsman who enjoyed woodworking, sewing, and making things by hand. He especially loved creating clothes and costumes for his children and grandchildren, and there was always a project in progress around him. Ralph also enjoyed being in the kitchen, trying new recipes or baking treats to share with the people he loved.

More than anything, Ralph loved his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, known for his kindness, humor, creativity, and steady, caring presence. He shared a deep and loving marriage with his wife, Cheryl "Cherry" Sue Cronk, who preceded him in death.

Ralph is survived by his three children, Adam, Rebecca, and Sarah; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandson, all of whom brought him great pride and joy.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 24, at 11:00 a.m. at Orange Avenue Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Orange Avenue Church of Christ Youth Group.

Ralph will be remembered for his gentle faith, creative spirit, and the many ways—both big and small—he showed love to those around him.
