Ralph Heotzler, 76, passed away on September 10, 2026. He was born on January 31, 1950, in Newburgh, New York, to Bill and Evelyn Heotzler.

Ralph was well known throughout the Northeast for his passion for DIRT Modified racing. Racing was a significant part of his life, and his love for the sport brought him many memorable experiences and friendships.

In 1993, Ralph moved to Florida, where he continued to build a life and career. He owned and operated Port Orange Motor Center for 30 years, dedicating much of his life to his business and the community he served.

Ralph shared 39 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Tammy Heotzler. Together, they built a life filled with family, memories, and experiences that will be treasured for years to come.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Heotzler; his daughters, Eva (Derek) Burns of New York and Beth (Mike) Finch of Colorado; four grandchildren; his brother, Jeff (Petra) Heotzler; and his sister, Karen Gustafson; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Evelyn Heotzler.

Ralph will be remembered for his independent spirit, his passion for racing, his dedication to his work, and, most importantly, the love he had for his family.

In accordance with Ralph’s wishes, there will be no services.

His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
