Lifelong area resident Randy Johnson, 55, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a courageous three year battle with cancer on November 28, 2014. Randy was born at Halifax Hospital and attended St James School and Seabreeze High School. Randy was an avid golfer and began playing at the age of six, winning many junior golf tournaments and later played as a pro on the PGA mini tour. He enjoyed traveling, especially taking cruises with his family. He was a loyal and loving husband, father and grandfather. Randy was preceded in death by his father Richard Johnson, mother Laurie Fitzgerald, brother Andy and sister Sandy. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Sherry and four children Kimberly Morgan (Mike), Stacy Wagner (Tony), Edward Lyons and Catherine Lyons. He adored his six grandchildren William, Ashley, Sean, James, Dylan and Carlito. He is also survived by his step-mom Gail Johnson, brothers Jack (Tammy), Kelly, Teddy (Kathy) and sister Wendy (Greg) and many nephews and nieces. A Life Celebration will be held at a later date.
