Raul Eladio Jimenez, age 82 of Summerfield Florida died Thursday, January 27th 2022. Raul was born on August 30th 1939 in Havana Cuba, the son of Raul and Julia Martinez Jimenez. Raul is survived by his wife of 60 years Carmen Rosa Jimenez; his children Carmen and Ed Conrad and his 2 sons Raul and Gabriel Jimenez; grandchildren, Jasen and Hannah Conrad, Sharee Conrad and Jacob Jimenez; great grandchildren Ryleigh and Abigail Conrad. Raul grew up on the Island of Cuba and had many fond memories of growing up in what he called "paradise". He is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Masters degree in Meteorology. He later he went on to receive a Masters degree in Psychology. Raul loved to play basketball and tennis. As the years past his love to play became his love to watch. His greatest passions were to sing and write. He was a performance artist at his core who loved to sing and perform in variety shows, weddings, and church functions. Raul has published several fantastical novels and written many short stories in the genre of magical realism which is a fictional genre that blends magical elements to create a realistic atmosphere that support the human mind on its search for a deeper understanding of reality.
