Rayford Jackson Johnson passed peacefully into Jesus Arms, April 16, 2021.

Rayford came from a large family with his parents, Edward and Ava, and five siblings:  Louie Edward, Margaret, Herman, Joyce Anne, and Ronnie.  Rayford served 27 years in the US Army and retired as a Major.  He later pursued a career in the hotel industry and led as a General Manager to many local Florida hotels. Rayford is so remembered and loved by his wife Joan, and children Ray Jr & Julie (spouse), Cindy & Jeff (spouse), Sunday, and Trig and his stepchildren Jay, Frank, Bert and Janice.  "Pop-Pop" is loved by his grandchildren Jed, Whitney & Darren (Spouse) Lindsey & Cliff (spouse), Missy & Eddie (spouse), Molly, Meagan, RJ, Caroline, Isaiah and great grandchildren Trinity, Jessica, Mary, Harper, Ryleigh, Dylan, Tyler  & Ziva, He also had one great great grandson, Leighton Jed.  He also Adored Ashley & Eddie piecara who were also like his great grandchildren.  He was also loved by many nieces and nephews and adored by their church family and many friends.  Awaiting him in Glory are his parents, 5 siblings, his daughter Sunday, and grandson Jed, along with many dear family members and friends.  Rayford never knew a stranger and everyone who knew him spoke of his wonderful character and kindness. Many heartfelt thanks to Pastor Ted Kusma and his wife Becky, as well as the Hospice Team and Dr. Regina Ashiene for their excellent care and love. A celebration of Life will be held at Church of Christ in New Smyrna Beach Florida @ 1340 old Mission Road at 10:30 A.M. May 1rst,  2021
