Raymond D Brod, 85 Deltona, FL died Wednesday, September 28, 2011. He was born in Flushing, NY and came to this area in 1987. Raymond served our nation in the Merchant Marines during WW II in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters of operations.Ray sailed around the world three times and crossed the equator 18 times.  He owned and operated chicken farms for many years before retiring. He held memberships in the Masonic Lodge, Demolay, Order of eastern Star and Shriners. Raymond was a member of the Legion of Honor Demolay. He leaves to cherish his memory daughters Vickie Brod and Mary Lou Shumway, five grandchildren and one great grandchlld. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, three months and four days, Vickie.
