DiGiovanni Raymond B., age 77, born July 17, 1939 in New York City, passed away on July 4, 2017. Ray is survived by his wife, Sheila; two children, Benjamin DiGiovanni and Doris (Craig) Flaherty; and 2 grandchildren, Giavanna Flaherty and Graci Flaherty.  He is preceded in death by his parents, , 2 sisters and a brother.  Ray served his country and was honorably discharged from the US Marine Corps. He received his A.S. Degree from Miami-Dade College in 1968.  During a 30 year career in the airline industry, he was a member of the International Association of Machinists, where he served the membership as a shop steward, chief shop steward and Officer of Machinist Union Local Lodge 2508.  Ray was a lifetime member of the Marine Corp League Detachment 658, where he also served on the honor guard. He also was a member of the VFW Post 1590 Honor Guard. A memorial service for Ray will be held on Friday, July 21st at 1 PM at the VFW Post 1590, 1013 Veterans Court, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
