Obituary

Raymond "Ray" L. Kincaid, 90, of Fort Myers, Florida, went home to be with his Lord after a life marked by faithful service, steadfast love, and enduring legacy.

Born September 6, 1935, Ray lived with purpose from his earliest days. He also served the country in the U.S. Army for 4 years. On February 24, 1957, he married the love of his life, Claudia Lucille Ball, beginning a partnership that would anchor his family for generations.

A man of industry and integrity, Ray founded Rego in Bucyrus, Ohio in 1973 — his most successful business venture, and a testament to his work ethic. More than five decades later, Rego continues to operate as a family business, a fitting tribute to the values he instilled in those around him.

Yet it was his faith that defined him most deeply. Ray was a devoted servant of his Savior, giving generously of his time, treasure and leadership at every level of the church. He served as President of Alliance Men, Chairman of the Board of the Christian & Missionary Alliance nationally, Chairman of the Board of Governors for Toccoa Falls College in Georgia, Chairman of the Board of Evangelical Christian School in Florida, and Interim President of Toccoa Falls College. His commitment to God's kingdom was not incidental to his life — it was the foundation of it.

Ray is survived by his wife Claudia; children: Kimberly (Richard) Herb, Kenneth (Jacci) Kincaid, and Kevin (Joy) Kincaid. He was preceded in death by his son, Keith Kincaid. He leaves behind nine beloved grandchildren — Michelle (Josh) Hensley, Heather (Jeff) Gebhardt, Traci (Tyler) Rupp, Grant Kincaid, Ashley (Craig) McCleod, Kurtis Kincaid, Karissa (Garrett) Griffin, Kirk Kincaid, and Kaleb Kincaid — and 15 great-grandchildren who will carry his legacy forward. He was preceded in death by grandchildren Ryan & Brad Herb, and Brian Kincaid.

Ray Kincaid was a builder — of businesses, of churches, of families, and of faith. He finished well, and he is deeply missed. A private family service will be held at a later date.
