Obituary

Raymond Sharpe of Clermont, FL took our loving Savior's hand and entered into heaven on August 10, 2021 at age 71. His heart had served him well throughout his life and is now at peaceful rest.

Raymond was born to parents Raymond and Gloria Sharpe on June 22, 1950. He enjoyed a variety of sports in his youth and served as a volunteer Head Coach at Pine Castle Little League. Several of his teams advanced to the "Top-Team" tournaments, and many of his players made the league's All-Star Teams. He was an avid Tampa Bay Rays fan and enjoyed fishing and listening to Jimmy Buffet in his spare time. He liked reminiscing the "good old days" when watching his favorite programs Gun Smoke, Bonanza and the Andy Griffith Show. The simple things in life brought him great joy. His sense of humor and creative spirit were just a few of the gifts he shared. He always had a funny story or joke at just the right time to remind us not to take life too serious. His humility and ability to always see the good in others was inspiring. Raymond was a think outside the box visionary and enjoyed inventing ways to improve life for others. As president of Sharpe Inventions, Thoradom, Inc., and Safe-Tee Inc., he invented, patented, and marketed youth protective sporting gear, the Thoradom Batting Vest, and scrubbing shields for custodial services. He also served our community in the hospitality industry as a route manager of IRide Trolleys.

Raymond is survived by wife, Betty, siblings, Diane, Patrick, Christine, children Bryan, Corey, Amie, grandchildren Walker, Christiano, Ashley, Serina, Savannah, Cecilia, Ashlynn, great grandchildren Tanner, Capri, and Bellamy.

There will be no public service in consideration of the current pandemic. Raymond's remains will be remitted to his children to privately and peacefully scatter his ashes.

Our family would like to encourage those who knew Raymond and wish to honor his memory, to extend random acts of kindness to anyone in need of compassion and encouragement. In this, we can all pay his legacy of love and stewardship forward.
