Raymond Luczak
Sr.
April 20, 1933 – January 25, 2025
Raymond Peter Luczak, Sr., 91, was surrounded by his loved ones and guided into eternal peace by the loving spirits of his dearly departed on January 25, 2025 in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Ray was residing with his daughter, Valerie Luczak, in Holiday, Florida.
Ray was born in Glen Lyon to Anthony and Caroline "Carrie" (Butka) Luczak on April 20, 1933 and attended Newport Township schools. He enlisted in the US Army at the age of 17. He served with the 34th Regiment of the 24th Division before reassignment to the 14th Infantry, 25th Division and served with the Lynx's Blue Raiders, behind enemy lines during the Korean War.
Ray lived a blessed life with his wife of 60 years, Marie Irene Fischetti Luczak of Mocanaqua, PA, who preceded him to everlasting glory on March 6, 2013.
Ray and Marie had four children, Raymond Peter Luczak, Jr., Valerie Rose Luczak (Holiday, FL), David Joseph Luczak (Cleveland, OH) and Denise Marie Luczak (Harveys Lake, PA).
Ray is survived by his children Valerie, David and Denise, his grandchildren, Raymond Peter Luczak, III (Mocanaqua, PA), Matthew McKeown (Austin, Texas), Ashley Luczak (Phillip Johnson) (Scranton, PA) and three great-grandchildren, Ella Putalavage, Phillip Johnson and Sophie Marie (expected April 2025, Ray's birth month), sister, Theresa Langan (Nanticoke, PA) brother, Robert (Hunlock Creek, PA) and many nieces and nephews.
Ray is predeceased by his wife Marie Fischetti Luczak, his son, Raymond Peter Luczak, Jr., his parents, Anthony and Carrie Luczak, his brothers, Theodore, William, Edward, Joseph, Anthony, and Leonard, and sisters, Louise, Dolores, Alma.
Ray was a member of the carpenters union and last worked at the Becthel Power Plant in Salem, PA.
Ray was the epitome of a Pennsylvania outdoors man enjoying fishing and hunting with his sons, family and friends.
The family wishes to thank the beautiful souls at the Advent Health North Pinellas, Tarpon Springs, Florida who cared for Ray during his transition.
