IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rebecca
Markham
April 16, 1957 – January 11, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rebecca Ann "Becky" Markham, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who entered eternal rest on January 11, 2026, at the age of 68. Rebecca was born on April 16, 1957, in Waterford, Michigan, and throughout her life she shared a warmth and joy that left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Rebecca was the cherished daughter of Joyce and Ed Markham. Raised in Waterford, she grew up surrounded by family who helped shape her kind heart, strong spirit, and fun-loving personality. Never one to shy away from sharing her thoughts, Rebecca had a gift for bringing laughter into any room. Known as the life of the party, her infectious smile and quick wit could brighten even the darkest days.
Rebecca built a beautiful family and found her greatest pride and joy in her two daughters, Erica Haney (Wilson) and Rachel Haney. She was a devoted and loving grandmother to Destiny Wilson and Wesley Haney, delighting in their accomplishments and treasuring every moment spent together. Her love for her grandchildren knew no bounds, and the memories they shared will be forever held close.
She is also survived by her brother, Ray Markham. Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Joyce and Ed Markham; her brother, Rod Markham; and her beloved son-in-law, Robert Wilson.
Rebecca dedicated many years of her professional life to General Motors, where she worked until her retirement. She was also a proud member of Moose Lodge 513 in Port St. Lucie, Florida, a community she greatly enjoyed.
After retiring, Rebecca embraced life fully, traveling the world and creating cherished memories along the way. Most recently, she made her home in Summerfield, Florida, where she continued to enjoy the beauty of nature and the companionship of family and friends. She faced her battle with cancer with remarkable courage and grace, never allowing it to dim her spirit or the love she shared with others.
Rebecca's cremation will be held at Baldwin Brothers A Funeral & Cremation Society. As we say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that her legacy of strength, kindness, and joy will live on through her daughters, grandchildren and all who were blessed to know her.
Rest in peace, Rebecca Ann Markham. Your light will forever shine in our hearts.
