On Friday, September 6th 2024, Rebecca Michele Sargent passed away at 55 years old surrounded by her loving children and father. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who will be sorely missed.

Rebecca is survived by her son, Michael Patrick Henry, her daughter, Sarah Grace Henry, father, Leon Michael Sargent and siblings, Robin Parvis (Patrick) and Leon Michael Sargent Jr. She was predeceased and reunited with her mother, Judith Ann Sargent (DeJohn) in Heaven.

Rebecca was born on March 6th, 1969 in Rome, New York. She grew up in Loudonville, New York attending Academy of the Holy Names in Albany for her high school years. Later on, she attended SUNY Potsdam then transferred to Maria College to receive her Associate's Degree in Nursing. Rebecca's siblings remember her for being quite the prankster as a young girl and the so-called "favorite" of the 3 siblings.

With a 20+ year career in Nursing, Rebecca devoted her life to taking care of others. As a NYSNA member and a registered nurse in Columbia Presbyterian's CTICU, she is most known for caring for Former President Bill Clinton after his 4 hour quadruple bypass operation on September 6th, 2004, 20 years to the date that she passed.

While she was a proud nurse, her greatest gift was being a mother. Her children, Michael and Sarah, were her world. She would always make everything so special for them whether it was Christmas mornings, bedtime prayers or overnighting her famous mac & cheese to them at SUNY Oswego. She loved vacationing in Ocean City Maryland with them where she would always insist on renting jet skis and using her own crab knives and mallets at restaurants (that came out of her huge mom bag) because the ones that were provided weren't good enough.

She loved her human babies but was also such a proud dog mom to Shannon, Zeus and Mia.  Rebecca will be most known for her infectious laugh and her strong yet caring personality. Her memory will live on within her children and she will be sorely missed.

A celebration of life for Rebecca will be scheduled at a later time.
