IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Renate
Pojani
November 19, 1934 – May 23, 2025
Renate Pojani (90), of Palm Coast, Florida, originally from Auburn, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23, 2025.
Born in Nuremberg, Germany on November 19, 1934, she was the daughter of Ellie and Hans Stahl. Through an American church sponsorship to assist relocation of refugees from World War II, she emigrated to the United States with her husband and two young sons in 1956. Despite not yet speaking or understanding most English she quickly found work as a waitress at Howard Johnsons working overnight shifts. She was always a hard-working and dedicated person who worked in the retail and food services businesses most of her life. She was also a volunteer elections poll worker providing this service well into her 80's.
Renate loved caring for her husband, family and many different pets. She also loved her many friends, gardening, travel, cooking, music by Dean Martin and a good laugh.
Renate was preceded in death by her loving and dedicated husband of 30 years, Henry "Hank" Pojani, her son Erich Zobler, her brother, Wolfgang Stahl, and sister, Irmtraud Thurston.
She is survived by her son Norbert Zobler, his wife Leslie, and her son John Zobler, his wife Donna, grandchildren Derek Dobson, Nicolas Ratta, Lindsy Grosso, Adam Zobler, Erin Cunningham and Kyle Zobler, several nieces and nephews as well as numerous great-grandchildren and her goddaughter, Michelle Carlson.
Private services for Renate are planned for the fall where she will rejoin Hank for eternity. The family will host a celebration of a life well-lived for Renate during that time. Family and friends will be advised of the specific date, time and location.
