It is with immense sadness, we announce the passing of Richard Thomas Barker II, age 63 died at 22:13 on September 27, 2023, in New Smyrna Beach, FL at the Advent Health Hospital.

Born on November 18, 1959 in Saint James, New York to Richard Barker, Sr. and Jean Sirchia; he moved to Florida in 1976 to pursue construction with his father. Richard is the youngest of four sisters with two younger half-sisters.

Richard is preceded in death by his father Richard Barker and mother Jean Sirchia and is survived by his stepfather Vincent Sirchia and stepmother Mary Ann Barker. He is also survived by his former wife Diane Bigos and his loving children Brian and Brandi Barker, Amber and Michael Shike, Allison Barker and Cody Rains, and his sisters Deborah and Roger Wolfe, Robin and Herb Young, Lisa and Joe Herbert, Lisa Ann Giaquinto, and Alicia and Lars Holbrook. Grandchildren Gabriel Barker, Brogan Barker, Braxx Barker, Oliver Shike and Milo Shike, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and more friends than anyone could ever count.

His family and friends will always remember his enormous heart, generous spirit, warm smile, and comforting hugs.

His service will be held on October 10th at 4:30PM at the Port Orange City Center, in the Amphitheatre with lite snacks and refreshments to follow.
