Richard Alfred Braemer , 82, of New Smyrna Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of his devoted wife, Sandra.

Born in New Haven, Connecticut, Richard was the son of Hugo Hermann Braemer and Rose Florence Bisutti. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra; his brothers, Daniel (Kaye) Braemer and John Timothy Braemer; his cousin, Kathryn Swain; his sons, RJ Braemer and William Behjoue; and a loving extended family, along with countless friends.

Richard earned his degree from the University of Miami and proudly served four years in the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed a successful career as a network engineer with CP&S in Stamford, Connecticut, where he worked for 35 years.

Adventurous, curious, and full of life, Richard found joy in both the extraordinary and the everyday. He felt at home navigating slopes, diving oceans, traveling the world, and exploring new cuisines. However, it was time spent with loved ones—laughing, sharing stories, and simply being together—that provided him with the greatest joy.

His legacy of curiosity, kindness, and love will live on in the hearts of all whom he touched.
