Richard "Dick" Thomas Brennan, 82, passed away peacefully at his home on July 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of his daughters. He is now reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Lois Brennan, and his son, Richard T. Brennan Jr.

Dick graduated from Bishop Moore Catholic High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Coast Guard and was awarded the Purple Heart for his bravery during his active duty. He carried the same courage, dedication, and integrity throughout his life. As a respected entrepreneur and active member of his community, he earned the admiration of those who knew him for his tireless work ethic, quiet strength, and honest character. He ran a successful electrical contracting business for over 25 years and continued his work as an electrician for Orange County Public Schools until his retirement.

Above all else, Dick was devoted to his family. Nothing brought him greater joy than being a father, grandfather, and provider. He treasured every opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren, often happiest as a quiet observer, smiling as he watched them laugh, grow, and enjoy one another's company. His presence was steady, comforting, and filled with love.

He is survived by his brother Bill; daughter-in-law, Tracey Brennan, and grandsons, Ty and Sam Brennan, of Annapolis, Maryland; his daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Clint Boyd, and their children, Henry, Lucy, and Sophia, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; his daughter, Lara Brennan, and grandsons, Manne, Jah-Mali, and Josiah, of Mt Dora, Florida; his daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Carlis Eiland, of Winter Springs, Florida. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Outside of his family, Dick had a special love for animals and nature. Alongside his faithful cockapoo, Baxter, he found great happiness feeding the birds in his yard and was always devising creative ways to outsmart the squirrels determined to raid his bird feeders. He never hid his admiration for the brown bears that would occasionally wander through his property, appreciating the beauty and wonder of the wildlife around him.

Dick will be remembered for his courage, humility, kindness, and steadfast devotion to the people he loved. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled in his family and in the countless lives he touched through his generosity, strength, and example.

A mass will be held in his honor on Tuesday, July 28th, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Apopka, Florida. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend as they gather to honor and celebrate Dick's remarkable life.
